I recently visited Ala Mar By The Sea Motel. The location offered a beautiful ocean view, perfect for morning sunrises. I loved having a pet-friendly policy, which made bringing my dog along easy and enjoyable. The quirky decor and unique atmosphere added a certain charm to my stay. However, some issues stood out. I faced a problem with the check-in process since there was no one on-site. I had to go next door to get my room keys, which felt inconvenient. The room itself lacked air conditioning, making it quite warm at times, even with an oscillating fan. The absence of basic amenities like a coffee maker was disappointing. The continental breakfast options were very limited. I would expect more choices than just bread and bagels. The parking was also a hassle. it was crowded, forcing us to park on the street. The mattress was uncomfortable, feeling more like a hay bale than a bed. While the motel had its appealing aspects, it also required significant improvements to make a future stay worthwhile.

We stayed for a night and had mixed feelings. The check-in guy, Ryan, was super chill and helped us out when the cable didn’t work. The location is a big win. However, the room had this weird box vibe and was kinda dingy with a few old bugs hanging around. So, yeah, it’s a bit rough around the edges.
